Be Your Own Advocate

Know when to say when, and don't be afraid to ask for help!

I work in a I.T. environment and need to be in multiple places at the same times often, and sometimes find myself in awkward positions trying to fix stuff and lifting heavier items than I should be!
So, I in talking with my doctor have had some restrictions applied to my position.

I now wear shorts with a medical recommendation to back it up because I as many with MS can't get too hot!

At first I didn't want to limit myself but I knew I had to do it because if I didn't it would have hurt me in the long run. Now, with my little restrictions that I have applied, my work now is actually more productive because I am now able to do more and I am not afraid to ask for help when needed, and people are more than willing to help!
